Beach Fossils (US) + Nervous Conditions (UK)

Brooklyn-based indie-rock outfit Beach Fossils return after four years with the recently announced third album “Somersault”, to be relased on their own label Bayonet Records. On the record, the (after drummer Tommy Gardner’s departure) trio plays out a surprising range both musically and lyrically, which makes the band sound more complex, accessible and balanced than on the eponymous first record (2010) and sophomore album “Clash the Truth” (2013). Beach Fossils will play their first ever Prague show on Thursday, September 7.

Hailing from Cambridgeshire, Nervous Conditions encompass the more cathartic elements of rock n roll, with an aggressive blend of thundering dual drumming, free jazz sax, angular guitar and buzzing keys. Live shows are played with a vigour, volume and spontaneity that is difficult to deny. Zak’s Anniversary, their debut LP, will be released in 2017, with its songs veering between lyrics about village life, cults and general bewilderment.
