Bohemian Like You: Neutral Milk Hotel

Our prayers have been heard! One of the most important indie rock bands in history is stopping in Prague as part of its reunion tour.

Neutral Milk Hotel will definitely convince the czech audience why their second album released in 1998 - In the aeroplane Over the Sea is one of the most important pieces of the last twenty years. The power of this particular record has remained over the decades and bands such as Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens, Connor Oberst and Okkervil River would undoubtedly not be where they are at the moment if it were not for its influence.

NMH are continuously enjoying their high rated untouchable position, not only in terms of indie music genre, but because they also relate to other worldwide band such as Nirvana, Radiohead and Pavement, bands that rule the top album charts of all time.  

The band was formed in the mid-nineties, in Athens, Ga., originally as a lo-fi project started by Jeff Mangum and some occasional collaborators, including friends and colleagues. Of those eventually became the leading figures of the no less essential bands The Apples, In Stereo, and The Olivia Tremor Control. Along with the bands mentioned, some other excellent examples are Elf Power, Nana and Grizol, who were part of a free community of musicians backed by the label Elephant 6.
