Will you re-open MeetFactory with us?

Walking towards the old factory where cars are hanging off the walls on a sunny day. Having a cup of coffee or club mate in the front garden, checking out contemporary art exhibitions, coming across the known and unknown and in the evening, seeing a theatre play or watching a band who’s playing here for the first time.

Just like all other cultural spaces, we were also forced to shut the venue down temporarily. For an indefinite period, we’ve had to stop all our events – gigs, theatre, exhibitions, art residencies. Despite this, we continue working and preparing future events for you.

We’re rescheduling shows, rehearsing new plays, and our gallery curators are working on a new project called Jiné poznání – we’re actively seeking options on how to remain the biggest international residency in the Czech Republic.

The Smíchov factory has grown throughout the years. We’ve lost over a million Czech crowns in just the course of March, and this amount keeps rising every day whilst our income from ticket sales remains non-existent. This is the biggest crisis we’ve ever faced since we were founded.

However, we’re not giving up! We want to persevere. Therefore, we’re asking for your help. By buying a “Ticket for nothing”, you’ll be supporting our existence, technicians, production managers, curators, bartenders and other workers during these difficult times. As soon as we can, we’ll announce future events where we’ll be able to have fun altogether again.
