Selection procedure

The residency program provides a studio and accommodation in Prague, a monthly artist fee and a production fee for foreign artists. The program generally operates on a reciprocal basis, working with several international partners. Through these partnerships we send Czech artists to partner institutions and in return host artists from partner countries. If you are an artist living abroad and would like to be a MeetFactory resident, it is also possible to apply as an individual via email to opencall@meetfactory.cz. Please put “OPENCALL individual” in the subject line.

This way we support especially those individuals who want to apply for the Culture Moves Europe programme or the V4 fund or are able to get other financial support for their project.

The application, written in English, must include:

• a curriculum vitae;
• a portfolio of up to 10 pages;
• a motivation letter of up to 1,800 characters with a motivation for the residency or a project proposal and an idea for its realisation, in particular with regard to how the residency can benefit the applicant's artistic practice;
• whether you intend to apply for co-financing for the residency and from what source; or whether you need a letter of invitation from us.
